General Information

Directions to Tres Valles West Tres Valles West is located in southern Colorado, just east of La eta Pass on US Hwy 160. TVW is a gated community that is situated north of US Hwy 160, with the entrance between mile markers 285 and 286.  At night, there are two illuminated lights at the gate. From Denver, travel south on Interstate 25 to Walsenburg. Exit I-25 at Exit 52 and enter the town of Walsenburg. Turn right at US Hwy 160 and go 20 miles west to the TVW gate.   From Albuquerque, NM, travel north on Interstate 25 to Walsenburg.  Exit I-25 at Exit 49 and go west over I-25. Follow the road to US Hwy 160. Turn left at US Hwy 160 and 20 miles west to the TVW gate. From Durango, NM, travel east on US Hwy 160 over Wolf Creek Pass and through Alamosa and the San Luis Valley. Continue over La Veta Pass. The TVW gate is approximately 7 miles from the La Veta Pass Summit. It will be on your left.   Electric  Service All lots have access to electrical power. Service is provided by San Isabel Electric Association, Inc., 719-742-3686 (La Veta) and www.siea.com.  San Isabel has headquarters in Pueblo West, CO and nearby offices in La Veta and Walsenburg. Water Service Tres Valles West delivers water to its residents via spring water fed into its own certified water treatment plant. Water from the plant is stored in a 30,000 gallon tank and gravity fed to all property locations.  Propane Service Propane service is arranged through local propane delivery services. Propane can be delivered when the property owner is not at home.

Telephone Service Landline Phone Service is provided by CenturyTel  800-201-4099.  All 5-acre lots have phone line access. Further information can be found at www.centurytel.com. Mobile Phone Service Satellite phones work ok, but are subject to poor signal and breakups. At present, the most reliable cellular service is provided by Verizon Wireless. Internet Service Internet service is available by dial-up through phone-line modems, satellite modems or wireless. Satellite internet service is provided through DISH and DirectTV. Wireless service by amigo.net. Currently, DSL service is not available at Tres Valles West. Limited DSL service is available in the nearby town of La Veta. Television Service Television service is available through satellite companies DISH and DirectTV. Trash Removal Trash removal is provided for TVW property owners. Snow Plowing Tres Valles West has a contract with a local service to provide snow removal whenever there is a snowfall of six inches or greater. This service is for the main roads only. Property owners can arrange for similar or specific snow removal from their driveways. Please be on the lookout for snow drifts that accumulate even after snow plowing. Mail Service Mail service can be arranged by obtaining a post office box in La Veta.  A few property owners have unsecured mail boxes on US Hwy 160 across from the main TVW entrance gate. The physical address for all TVW properties is 68xy US Hwy 160, La Veta CO  81055, where xy is the lot number.  The eighty properties have addresses 6801 through 6880. The physical address is more often used for legal purposes than mail delivery.
